Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Brian Hibler was recently featured in ELLE in an article titled “Your In-Between Routine: Post-Injectable Skin Care to Amplify Your Results.” The piece highlights dermatologist-recommended strategies for maintaining and extending the results of cosmetic injectable treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers.

In the article, Dr. Hibler emphasizes that a consistent skincare routine plays an important role in preserving injectable results. He explains that maintaining skin health between treatments can help prolong their effects and improve overall skin quality. According to Dr. Hibler, “a solid daily topical routine is extremely important to help augment and prolong the effects of your injectable appointments.”

Dr. Hibler recommends a straightforward regimen focused on protective and collagen-supporting ingredients. In the morning, he advises using an antioxidant serum along with broad-spectrum sunscreen to help protect the skin from UV-related damage and photoaging. In the evening, he suggests incorporating a retinoid and moisturizer to support collagen production and maintain skin hydration.

The article also highlights several additional ingredients and treatments that can complement injectable procedures. Antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and niacinamide can help address discoloration, inflammation, and environmental damage, while moisturizers containing hyaluronic acid support hydration and skin plumping.

Dr. Hibler also notes that complementary treatments such as microneedling, chemical peels, and laser procedures may help improve skin tone and texture, though these treatments should typically be scheduled one to two weeks after injectable procedures to allow the skin to settle.

Dr. Hibler’s inclusion in ELLE highlights his expertise in cosmetic dermatology and reflects his role in educating patients about evidence-based skincare practices that help maintain and enhance aesthetic treatment results.
