How It Works

Skinvive uses a unique hyaluronic acid formulation injected in tiny droplets across the cheeks. The molecule increases aquaporin-3, a protein channel that facilitates the transfer of water and glycerol across epidermal cells. This boosts hydration, increases skin suppleness, and improves overall texture. Patients often describe their skin as looking healthier, plumper, and more refreshed.

Treatment Experience

The treatment is readily performed in office in about 15 minutes. An ultra-fine needle is used to place precise microdroplet injections just below the skin surface. The number of injections will be tailored to your skin type and specific concern. For patients wanting more light reflection in the cheeks, the injections can be concentrated in this area; whereas, for patients wanting to address roughness and textural changes in the lower cheeks, more injections can be concentrated in this region.

This treatment is suitable for all skin types and tones. Mild swelling and bruising is possible following treatments, and can be reduced with icing after treatment. Makeup can be applied the next day to camouflage and redness or slight bruising. Rare risks and specific aftercare instructions will be provided at the time of treatment.
